Rheaume’s Art Studio

Published under Paintings

Wayne Rheaume was born in Burlington, Vermont. He began his art career by attending the Washington School of Art in Port Washington, New York, while living in Bryans Road, Maryland, after being discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps.

Wayne entered paintings in several Art Shows in the Washington, DC area until he moved back to Vermont in the spring of 1972.

He entered two paintings in The Champlain Valley Fair Art Show that year and won third place for his painting “Summer Time”. He has painted many Vermont landscapes and also loves to paint seascapes. His paintings were purchased by many people and he also received many commissions to paint family homes, pets and portraits.

During the late 1980s, Wayne became interested in the Bob Ross technique and has created many paintings using this method. He retired from the Vermont Army National Guard in early 1992 and moved to Florida where he painted local landscapes. He also learned the Gary Jenkins technique of painting florals while living in Florida.

Wayne loves to use oil but prefers acrylic for detailed paintings.

He taught art classes to the residents of his community in Lake Henry Estates, Haines City, Florida until he returned to Vermont during July 2005.
